Well went on a snowy night and very few people were in the restaurant. Did not know how it was going to be. But it was really good. The ribs are great. Chicken and fries cooked to perfection. Great waitress and hope to go back soon.

This place sounded like typical small town that we look for. Sadly, it wasn't. The building itself is strangely done and must have had a different use in a previous life although I can't imagine what. Eclectic decor adds to the fun. There are only a handful of tables on one side and a bar on the other.
The overpriced $8 clam strip appetizer appeared to be right from a frozen box. Fried oysters were undercooked and I can't begin to say how awful the squash and onions were. They were mushy and had a terrible flavor.
Husband had chicken and crab wrapped up and I swear that was the worst cooked chicken I've ever seen. It was dry and stringy. If we had more time I would have sent it back.
The server was nice and there is plenty of parking. -

I ate here 20yrs ago and thought when it reopened it would be as good...no! Frozen run of the mill seafood that comes in small portions and is way overpriced, especially for the area. Food was on par with the Mayflower but no where near the portions. I should have known better it is Boydton after all. Don't serve me two pieces of frozen catfish and try and charge me $16 sorry

The food was good but service was horrible. Never came back to table to refill drinks and we were empty. Very slow service. Gave us dollar store utensils to eat crab legs with. My husband had to use his pocket knife to get meat out because we couldn't get servers attention. We had to ask for check then she told us to come to bar area to get check....they didn't have tickets written out so had to tell her what we got. We had to go find our own take out boxes. On positive side, fried oysters were very good. Not sure if we would return due to such lack of service.

This place was recommended by friends who used to live in the area. I liked their sign when we arrived, with a shark on it saying, " Home of killer seafood". It was a rainy Wednesday night and not busy. We were seated right away. Their was only one waitress working. She was friendly and did a great job. We ordered from the specials board. My mom got the shrimp and ribs plater. I got the crab platter. You get a lot of food at a fair price and it is really delicious. My soft shell crab was perfect! I had a crab cake which usually I would put cocktail sauce on but didn't because it was so good without it. Mom never got to her ribs so we took them home. She shared them with me later and they were cooked to perfection, tender and tasty. This will be a place we will return to again and again now that we have tried it!
